Good expose on migratory birds; I recently visited the Outer Banks, North Carolina, where I met up with pelicans for the first time. They are like patrolmen scouring the waves for fish in regiments – they add a beautiful symmetry to the ocean.
I have been drawing birds – all kinds for a series of paintings to show their beauty and, alas, fragility in this world.
